Yagi Textile Industry Co., Ltd. has been developing weed control sheets that contribute to a low-carbon society amid concerns about rising sea levels and extreme weather due to global warming. The most environmentally friendly approach to weed control might be to leave everything to nature and let it be. However, the proliferation of weeds not only worsens the landscape but also leads to visibility issues, allergen dispersion, and the emergence of pests and diseases, making it something that cannot be ignored. This necessitates regular weeding, which can be a significant amount of work, and the use of strong herbicides can degrade soil quality and potentially destroy ecosystems. Therefore, one method is to lay down weed control sheets in areas where weed growth is to be avoided, but conventional weed control sheets have two environmental burden factors.
