The Suijin No. 3 is a compact (generator dimensions: φ140×L approximately 600), high-output (rated output: 2.4 kW (MAX 3 kW)) fully waterproof hydropower generator. This device was jointly produced by five small and medium-sized enterprises in southern Nagano, focusing on price and performance, under the guidance of Professor Masayuki Horio from the Independent Administrative Institution Japan Science and Technology Agency and his task force member Eizō Shimizu.
