Fiber optic lighting source Shot MegaLight LED

An LED light source for inexpensive and high-brightness fiber optic lighting. It allows for the separation of the light source (heat source and power supply) from the lighting section through a dedicated light guide.

The MegaLight LED for shots is a slim and compact LED light source for fiber optic lighting. Compared to traditional 100W halogen light sources, it achieves 1.5 times the brightness with only 1/10 of the power consumption. By combining it with a specially designed multi-component glass fiber light guide, produced consistently from materials by an optical glass manufacturer, it allows for lighting with the power and heat sources separated, making it suitable for various applications. The MegaLight LED is fully compatible with the old models "MegaLight 100V and 200V," allowing the use of existing light guides. SCHOTT's plastic syringe "TopPac" is used as a pre-filled syringe by many pharmaceutical companies around the world due to its excellent performance and quality. GTAS(R) glass-sealed lid for capacitors

It enables the high capacity and long lifespan of aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

Shot has developed a new glass and process for GTAS(R) (Glass and Aluminum Sealing) that can hermetically seal aluminum (Al) with a high thermal expansion rate. In conventional hermetic terminals, the materials used were limited to Fe, SUS, FeNi, and KV due to the constraints of the thermal expansion rate of glass. In aluminum electrolytic capacitors and electric double-layer capacitors, sealing with rubber or resin does not achieve complete hermeticity, leading to issues such as electrolyte drying up and moisture intrusion from the outside, which result in reduced capacitance and a shorter lifespan. By using GTAS(R), customers can achieve complete hermetic sealing. This contributes to preventing capacitance reduction (miniaturization for the same capacitance, or increased capacitance for the same size) and extending lifespan.

GTAS(R) Glass-Sealed Lid for Lithium-Ion Batteries

The simple design and complete airtightness contribute to reducing battery costs and improving long-term reliability.

Shot has developed GTAS(R) (Glass and Aluminum Sealing) using a new glass and process that can hermetically seal high thermal expansion rate Al (aluminum). While conventional sealed terminals have a heat resistance of around 300°C due to the limitations of glass's heat resistance, HEATAN® boasts an exceptionally high heat resistance capable of withstanding up to 1000°C. By using HEATAN® as an insulated terminal for various devices, such as sensors, in high-temperature and harsh environments from automotive engines to exhaust gases, it allows for the direct placement of devices in high-temperature areas. Additionally, its complete sealing prevents the intrusion of exhaust gases and water into the device. This enables the miniaturization and high precision of your devices. Due to the simple structure of the sealed terminal, the number of components is reduced, which can help lower costs for our customers.
