The company was sourcing blades from overseas due to their use of foreign machinery, but these blades were made from lost-wax integrated materials, which were very expensive and had a lead time of over three months, causing difficulties. In response, Arus proposed a replaceable blade system that separates the blade from the holder, using a material that is less prone to chipping. By introducing the replaceable blade system, the unit cost of the blades themselves was reduced, and when they wore out, only the blades could be replaced while keeping the holder intact. By using a more durable material, the lifespan was extended, resulting in an overall cost reduction of approximately 78%.
