In the Wood Division, we offer high-quality materials from Ishikawa Prefecture as well as from excellent manufacturers across Japan. We have a rich stock of ash and cypress, and we can deliver including processing. Additionally, we hold the "Muramoto Specialty Wood Market" at the Oshimizu Logistics Warehouse on the 22nd of every month. Our company handles 'Takumi Noto Hiba,' a type of Hiba wood sourced from the Oku Noto region, which is highly resistant to moisture and has excellent durability that is very resistant to decay. The component called hinokitiol, which is more abundant in 'Noto Hiba' than in cypress, suppresses the growth of decay fungi such as bacteria and mold, and also has a strong repellent effect against household pests like termites. "Waro" is a wall coating material made from 100% natural materials, friendly to both people and the environment. This wall coating, which combines ten features such as humidity control, deodorization, and thermal insulation, brings health and tranquility to indoor spaces. It enables the transition away from vinyl wallpaper at a practical cost equivalent to that of vinyl wallpaper.

Swiss plaster, which has been used for the finishing of interior and exterior walls of buildings since the medieval period in Switzerland and Germany. Kalkwall is a product that is still manufactured today with the same ingredients as it was back then. Made from 100% natural ingredients, Kalkwall continuously purifies the indoor air. It also becomes harder and stronger over the years while maintaining a natural, radiant whiteness.

This is a product from "Livos," the largest natural paint manufacturer in Germany, which was the first in the world to introduce natural paints. Livos was founded by 16 female disciples of the world-renowned educational philosopher Rudolf Steiner, who embraced the philosophy of "harmony with nature and nurturing humanity." They focused on using only organically grown, pesticide-free plants as raw materials to develop "natural paints." Through research and development emphasizing "health = safety for the human body," the paints are manufactured based on natural plant oils and natural beeswax.

Japanese houses have been built using wood since ancient times because quality timber has always been readily available. Even in modern times, wooden construction remains central to residential building due to cost considerations and ease of processing. In an era without insulation materials, the difference between outdoor temperatures and indoor temperatures was minimal, making "condensation" not a significant issue for homes. However, modern houses achieve a certain level of airtightness even without special construction methods or technologies. This creates the potential for condensation to occur within the walls. Even durable wood can suffer from decay fungi when it absorbs moisture, significantly reducing its lifespan. Additionally, damp wood is a favorite food of termites. Methods have been considered to prevent moisture from entering the walls, such as increasing density and using exterior wall insulation, which theoretically seem beneficial, but it is common knowledge on-site that ensuring walls remain moisture-free for over 20 years is quite challenging. Eliminating moisture in Japanese wooden houses is difficult; instead, we should think about how to coexist with moisture.
