POS stands for Point Of Sales, which refers to a sales point management system. It is a concept that aims to connect business management (such as sales management, inventory management, and purchasing management) in real-time at the moment of sale. Generally, it is used in cash registers at supermarkets, convenience stores, and similar establishments. To process transactions efficiently, it is equipped with barcode readers, cash drawers, receipt printers, and display devices. Previously, POS systems were dedicated machines, but now they have become affordable systems that utilize: - Commercial PC-based systems - Network-based systems The most significant feature is that with the internet (which requires various security measures), POS can be used from anywhere in Japan. Additionally, not only does it function as a POS system, but it also integrates sales management, inventory management, and purchasing management functions into one package, making it usable not only for POS applications but also as a general sales management system for non-face-to-face sales. Our company has been involved in building and operating sales, purchasing, and inventory management systems, primarily for the manufacturing industry. We have embodied these achievements in this system.

Free membership registrationThe introduction of a purchasing management system plays a significant role in automating inter-company transactions. This includes the exchange of order information, receipt, and inspection information. Our system is designed to sequentially execute contracts, purchase requests, orders, receipts, and inspections (finalizing amounts). It has been implemented in companies with sales of around 20 billion yen. <Benefits of Implementation> ● Promotion of purchasing process automation ● Maintenance and strengthening of negotiation power through the accumulation of purchasing data (prices, quantities) ● Transparency in external transactions ● Automatic connection with other systems (such as inventory management) ● Support for various ordering methods (automatic fax, web, computer connection) In previous implementations, it has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing invoice matching tasks through payment via inspection notification, improving efficiency in repeat purchases through unit price contracts, and negotiating contract prices (reducing purchasing prices) through purchasing performance management. Free membership registrationWhen instructing a computer to execute a program, it is generally done through command line instructions or by clicking icons. However, when considering a business system of a certain scale, the number of programs can reach dozens or even hundreds. Manually starting them would be quite burdensome. Additionally, it is important to know whether the processing results are successful or not. Therefore, to automatically start these programs, Onnet Job Manager (hereinafter referred to as OJM) is necessary. Our company built the prototype of OJM in 2008 and applied it to a production management system of a certain company, automatically starting around 150 jobs (which bundle multiple programs into a single execution unit) every day, resulting in significant labor-saving effects. Since then, we have been continuously improving by clearly identifying issues and lacking functionalities that have arisen.

Free membership registrationSales, purchasing, and inventory management core business systems have increasingly been used in internet environments. One issue that needs to be addressed is the report output environment. How to output reports created on the server side to printers registered on the client side is surprisingly challenging. In this context, we encountered "Fujin Report" from Ai-Con, Inc. Our company develops business systems using mainframes and off-the-shelf computers, and we were able to create all reports based on our experiences. Additionally, we confirmed through a year of actual development that there were no deficiencies in practical functionality. Therefore, we decided to integrate our know-how in utilizing Fujin Report with Ai-Con, Inc. through technical collaboration, and to sell it as a report solution, adding it to our development standards.

Free membership registrationSQL Sequencer (hereinafter referred to as SQLS) is a system that sequentially executes multiple SQL statements that have been arranged in order beforehand. Since our founding in 2000, we have consistently built core business systems, and SQLS was born out of the thought process regarding how to standardize programs that do not involve screen processing (hereinafter referred to as batch processing). The prototype was developed in 2005, and we have experienced significant results from its actual use. Since then, we have not engaged in almost any batch programming at our company. We perform processing solely by describing the execution control XML given to SQLS. We have realized through actual system construction that using SQLS allows us to build business systems very cost-effectively and reliably. The only necessary knowledge is database design skills and SQL statements. In typical programming, additional knowledge such as language knowledge, object-oriented knowledge, and standardization rules for log output are also required. In this way, SQLS allows us to start system construction with the minimum necessary knowledge, enabling participation in system development with minimal training. Furthermore, it achieves high productivity and reduces variability in quality.
