This is an asbestos analysis service for the construction and demolition industry, industrial waste disposal industry, and building management industry. We quickly respond to the selection of investigation locations and the analysis of concentrations in building materials (such as exterior walls and spray materials) and in the air regarding asbestos, which can cause health damage. 【Flow of Asbestos Analysis in Building Materials】 1. Preliminary Investigation: Conduct a document survey using architectural drawings, confirm the current usage on-site through visual inspection, and select investigation locations. 2. • Measurement and Analysis Equipment

Recently, the term "urban mining" has become more commonly heard. It refers to the useful resources found in discarded electronic products that are thrown away as waste in cities, likening them to a mine, and there is a movement being considered, starting from the government, to regenerate and effectively utilize these resources. It is said that the scale of urban mining in our country has reached a level comparable to that of some of the world's leading resource countries. Rare metals are expected to become increasingly difficult to procure in the future, and there is growing anticipation for our country's urban mining. Rare metals (also known as precious metals) are non-ferrous metals that are scarce in circulation within the industrial sector for various reasons, and they are essential materials for the manufacturing of products such as LCD televisions, mobile phones, and automobiles. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has defined 31 types of metals as rare metals and is working on stable supply and domestic stockpiling. The resource value of sludge is still largely unknown. ■ Currently, sludge is incinerated as industrial waste after dehydration and is buried in landfills. ■ In the case of inorganic sludge, it is only reused to a limited extent as incineration ash for construction materials and is not recognized as a resource.

• Environmental Survey

It is a naturally occurring fibrous silicate mineral. Due to its high fire resistance, thermal insulation, and electrical insulation properties, it was widely used in buildings as insulation materials, heat-retaining materials, and soundproofing materials for a period of time. We are working on solving social issues through analysis, measurement, and investigation. What is PCB? PCB stands for polychlorinated biphenyl, which is an artificially created chemical substance that is primarily oily. It has characteristics such as being difficult to dissolve in water, having a high boiling point, being resistant to thermal decomposition, being non-flammable, and having high electrical insulation properties. Additionally, due to its chemically stable nature, it was used in various applications such as insulating oil for electrical equipment, heat transfer fluids in heat exchangers, and non-carbon paper. However, due to its property of being easily soluble in fats, it gradually accumulates in the body and has been reported to cause various symptoms, leading to a ban on both its production and importation. PCB-containing Coatings It is known that PCB was added as a plasticizer in some chlorinated rubber-based paints. These paints were used for coating steel structures such as bridges and buildings during the period of rapid economic growth, and currently, these structures are in need of repair or renovation. In October 2019, the "Measurement Methods for Low Concentration PCB Containing Waste (4th Edition)" was published by the Ministry of the Environment, which specifies that measurement should only be conducted using mass spectrometers such as GC/HRMS as the analytical method.

What are dioxins? Dioxins is a collective term that includes polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF), and coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (co-PCB). There are 75 types of PCDD, 135 types of PCDF, and 12 types of coplanar PCBs, and their toxicity varies by isomer. Toxicity of dioxins Even among the 29 types of toxic dioxins, the toxicity varies. The most toxic, "2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin," is assigned a value of 1, and the toxicity of other dioxins is expressed relatively. This relative coefficient is called the Toxicity Equivalence Factor (TEF). The analysis results are the sum of the toxicity equivalents (TEQ) for each isomer, calculated by multiplying the measured concentration for each isomer by its Toxicity Equivalence Factor (TEF).

**Soil Analysis Based on the Basic Environmental Law** The environmental standards for soil under the Basic Environmental Law do not apply to soil related to places where contamination is clearly recognized as being solely due to natural causes, as well as to sites for the accumulation of raw materials, landfills for waste, and other specified items, where substances are currently being accumulated for the purpose of use or disposal. **Soil Analysis Based on the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law** The Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law mandates soil investigations triggered by land alterations of a certain scale or the cessation of businesses handling hazardous substances. If contamination is discovered, measures such as decontamination are to be taken based on the judgment of the prefectural governor, in order to prevent health hazards to humans. **Flow of Soil Contamination Investigation** Soil contamination investigations must be conducted by designated investigation agencies. The investigation is divided into phases 1, 2, 3, and 4, and it is mandatory to report the results to the prefectural governor.

Water discharged from facilities with specific installations is required to be emitted at concentrations below the wastewater standards. The substances specified in the wastewater standards are broadly classified into two categories. One includes items that may cause harm to human health (health items), and the other includes items that indicate pollution status (living environment items). 【Water Quality Inspection Based on the Sewerage Act】 The Sewerage Act applies when discharging wastewater from facilities with specific installations into public sewer systems. 【Water Quality Inspection Based on the Sewage Treatment Plant Act】 Discharge from sewage treatment plants is regulated by the "Sewage Treatment Plant Act." There is a "Article 7 Inspection" conducted within five months after three months of use, and an "Article 11 Inspection" conducted once a year. 【Environmental Water Analysis】 Environmental water refers to natural waters such as groundwater, river water, lake water, and marine water. Environmental standards related to water quality pollution are established for these waters.

【Water Supply and Simple Water Supply】 The water supplied by water service providers is subject to mandatory inspection under the Water Supply Act. 【Drinking Water Quality Inspection】 Specific buildings such as entertainment venues, stores, offices, and schools with a certain floor area must conduct drinking water quality inspections. 【Reuse Water Quality Inspection】 Water used for irrigation, landscaping, cleaning, and flushing toilets, which includes recycled wastewater, rainwater, treated sewage, and industrial water, is referred to as utility water. This utility water must be supplied with necessary sanitary measures in place. 【Water Tank Cleaning】 For water storage tanks with an effective capacity exceeding 10㎥, it is mandatory to conduct cleaning once a year and water quality inspections three times a year (once within six months × 2, and once for 12 disinfection by-products from June 1 to September 30).
