The Suikinkutsu is a Japanese garden technique for enjoying sound, believed to have been devised by gardeners during the Edo period. Its principle involves burying an unglazed pot with a hole in the bottom upside down, allowing water from the ground to fall through the hole and strike the water surface that collects at the bottom, producing sound. The sound resonates inside the pot, creating a clear tone reminiscent of a koto, which is why it is called Suikinkutsu.

The efforts of the development manager, Mr. Matsumoto, to resolve each of these points were extraordinary. Thanks to this dedication, the finished product is impressive. "Titanium is hard," and indeed, titanium is a difficult material to process, requiring advanced technology for its manipulation. If titanium could be shaped into a guinomi (sake cup) like pottery on a potter's wheel, wouldn't you be surprised? This surprise has been realized in the titanium pressed guinomi "Tekkōn." Once again, Mr. Matsumoto, the development manager, has repeatedly prototyped to achieve a smooth curve that fits comfortably in the hand through the technique of pressing. He also paid attention to the surface finish, expressing the unique deep hues of titanium. Drinking sake from "Tekkōn" on a night when you've made several nice shots with your favorite titanium driver will surely taste exceptional! "Tekkōn" is not only the second product of our strategic brand "e-sagan," which aims to break away from subcontracting and develop its own brand, but it is also a remarkable piece that signifies the evolution of the "pressing technician" into a "pressing artist."
