The coating removal method "IMI Method" is the most advanced system method that solves the problems of conventional methods by combining a softening agent and high-pressure hot water washing. It removes existing coatings on steel structures and concrete structures equivalent to two types of substrate preparation. By applying the undiluted solution directly to the existing coating and leaving it for 1 to 24 hours, the binding strength of the particles and the resin that connects them in the existing coating is weakened, making the removal process easier by also reducing the adhesive strength. *Registered with NETIS! The following conventional issues are resolved with the IMI Method. 【Features】 ○ A method that uses organic solvents to soften and remove coatings ○ No dust generation ○ Biodegradable, with no harmful substances remaining on the removal surface ★ This method was used for the roof of the "Yoyogi National Gymnasium." *For more details, please contact us or download the catalog to view.

Free membership registrationThe environment-adaptive coating film swelling softening stripping agent "Coating Film Stripping and Cleaning Method (IMI Method)" is compatible with oil-based phthalic acid, chlorinated rubber, epoxy, polyurethane, and fluorine-based coatings. However, it may not be sufficiently effective on inorganic zinc-rich primers, inorganic zinc-rich paints, and shop primers. 【Construction Method】 1. Spray 250g/m² of IMI specification coating film softening agent evenly (first application). 2. Apply paper* over the IMI specification coating film softening agent. * Any general commercial product (such as toilet paper or water-soluble tissue paper) is acceptable. 3. Leave it for 1 to 2 hours immediately after application, check the swelling state of the coating film, and then reapply 250g/m² evenly (second application). 4. Ensure adequate ventilation and leave it for 6 hours, 24 hours (the next day), 30 hours, and 48 hours until the coating film is in a state that can be stripped. Be aware of the time it takes for the coating film to soften in preparation for this work. 5. Remove with a scraper or similar tool. 6. If a thick film remains, repeat steps 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. 7. Wipe the steel surface from which the coating film has been removed with water (using a damp cloth, etc.). 8. Confirm the drying of the steel and proceed with the painting work.

Free membership registrationThe "IMI Specification Coating Softener" is a technology for peeling and removing existing coatings on steel structures and concrete structures equivalent to two types of substrate preparation. By applying the undiluted solution directly to the existing coating and leaving it for 1 to 24 hours, the binding strength of the particles and the resin that connects them in the existing coating is weakened, making the peeling process easier by also reducing the adhesive strength. Additionally, since the dripping rate after application is low, there is less loss of the peeling agent. 【Features】 ○ A method that uses organic solvents to soften, peel, and remove coatings ○ No dust generation ○ Biodegradable For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Free membership registration"Concrete surface roughening" refers to a treatment method for concrete surfaces using high-pressure water washing, aimed at removing contaminants and weak layers from the substrate concrete of ceramic tiles or mortar coatings, and creating effective roughness for adhesion. The high-pressure water washing roughening method is performed before applying mortar or tiles (in the case of direct bonding) to enhance the adhesion reliability between concrete and mortar by creating effective roughness for adhesion and removing dirt and weak layers. [Features] - Supervised by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Bureau of Construction [FY 2001 version of Common Specifications for Construction Work] Corresponds to Tile Work 11.3.3 (a) (ii) and 15.2.4 (c) - Adopted in the "10-Year Defect Warranty System for Tile Exterior Wall Construction" for "Substrate Treatment" For more details, please contact us.

Free membership registrationRegarding substrate preparation, the level of substrate adjustment is set to RA according to "Renovation Common Work," and the surface preparation is classified as cleanliness level 2 (Type 2 Keren). However, in "Renovation Common Work," cleanliness level 2 (Type 2 Keren) states that "rust and paint film remain in recessed and narrow areas" for surface preparation, whereas the IMI method is characterized by the removal of rust and paint film from those areas. Complete stripping is made possible by combining high-pressure hot water washing with paint film softening stripping agents. For areas where a high-pressure hot water washer cannot be used (such as narrow spaces), surface preparation is maintained by using a combination of paint film softening stripping agents with power tools and hand tools. [Features] ○ Surface preparation of iron parts using the IMI method allows for a 10-year warranty on the paint film. For more details, please contact us.

Free membership registrationThe repainting of exterior walls of buildings, if done frequently, inevitably leads to the deterioration of the old finishing material's paint film. Eventually, we must consider completely stripping and removing the old paint film and refreshing the building with new exterior finishing materials to bring it back to life. The IMI method is an excellent technique for treating these substrate surfaces and is publicly recognized as a substrate treatment technology displayed in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's renovation specification guidelines. 【Features】 - It is displayed in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's renovation specification guidelines and is publicly recognized. - There is no damage observed on the substrate surface after the peeling of the deteriorated existing paint film. For more details, please contact us.

Free membership registrationThe traditional methods for removing paint films involve techniques such as scraping, sanding, and using stripping agents. However, these methods have issues such as long construction periods and high costs. Furthermore, the process of stripping existing paint films and removing rust can be considered a troublesome task due to problems like noise and dust pollution from the removal equipment. To address these issues, Imai Biso Co., Ltd. has been working on the development of a wall paint film renovation method (IMI method). **Features of the IMI Method:** - Minimally damages the substrate while stripping existing paint films. - Uses hot water, resulting in a fast stripping speed, which shortens the construction period and reduces costs. - Does not add any chemicals that impose an environmental burden, making it eco-friendly. - Operates with low noise and low vibration, preventing dust pollution. - Particularly effective against elastic and acrylic paint films. For more details, please contact us.

Free membership registrationThe conventional paint film peeling situation resulted in harmful substances (lead-based, asbestos-based) contained in the old paint film being dispersed due to the powdery peeling. However, the IMI method peels in a film-like or edge-like manner, which suppresses the diffusion of harmful substances and makes recovery easier. By primarily using a biodegradable water-soluble organic solvent, considerations for human health and the environment are taken into account. 【Features】 - The paint film softener does not contain chlorinated hydrocarbons that are not entirely harmless to humans. - Excellent biodegradability. - Does not lead to environmental destruction or pollution and is gentle on plants and animals.
