Introducing the workflow for the peeling of coatings on steel structures.
The environment-adaptive coating film swelling softening stripping agent "Coating Film Stripping and Cleaning Method (IMI Method)" is compatible with oil-based phthalic acid, chlorinated rubber, epoxy, polyurethane, and fluorine-based coatings. However, it may not be sufficiently effective on inorganic zinc-rich primers, inorganic zinc-rich paints, and shop primers. 【Construction Procedure】 1. Spray 250g/m² of Nippon Paint Eco (for bridges) evenly. 2. Apply toilet paper over the Nippon Paint Eco (for bridges). 3. Leave it for 1 to 2 hours immediately after application, check the swelling state of the coating film, and then reapply 250g/m² evenly. 4. Ensure adequate ventilation and leave it for 6 hours, 24 hours (the next day), 30 hours, and 48 hours after application until the coating film becomes removable. Be aware of the time required for the coating film to soften in preparation for this work. 5. Remove the coating film with a scraper or similar tool. 6. Wipe the steel surface from which the coating film has been removed with water (using a damp cloth, etc.). 7. Confirm the drying of the steel and proceed with the painting work. *For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
