In the 21st century, the world is increasingly focusing on the issue of climate change on a global scale, facing significant challenges. Additionally, since the latter half of last year, the surge in crude oil prices, along with rising global resource and raw material costs and concerns about a slowdown in the U.S. economy, are expected to further impact Japanese companies, leading to considerable damage and challenging business performance. Since our establishment, we have contributed to the enhancement of domestic social infrastructure, but public works peaked in 1995 and nearly halved by 2007. Anticipating this situation, we have also focused on developing new businesses. We have successfully developed snow melting systems for cold regions and environmentally friendly clean floor heating systems. In the field of advertising media, we have achieved the development of high-quality materials for inkjet media, and through the provision of high-quality products, including these, we aim to further contribute to society. Moreover, with globalization, we have been advancing the establishment of overseas production bases to cater to the significantly growing demand in overseas markets, aiming for further expansion of our international business.
