Kakuta Bridge

The "Kakutahashi Pon! Metal Kit" is a new type of metal deck bridge that involves installing square steel pipes one by one, inserting horizontal steel pipes on-site, and pouring concrete to create panels. It allows for rapid and simple construction by transporting factory-made panel units to the site and integrating them together. Compared to PC bridges, it can reduce the design reaction force of the substructure by about 20%, allowing for a smaller substructure. Additionally, due to its low girder height structure, it is possible to reuse existing substructures during bridge renewal.
