Keres Tanaka Co., Ltd. collaborates with local businesses to promote and manage the effective use of forests, develop forestry offices and related industries, purify river water quality and water usage, and contribute to the purification of Lake Biwa, thereby supporting ecosystem conservation and the natural cycle from an environmental perspective. To achieve this, it is necessary to effectively utilize materials such as cedar and cypress, which make up a large portion of the forests, thinning wood from these trees, bamboo to promote the conservation of satoyama (traditional rural landscapes), and waste wood generated from sawmills. However, simply utilizing these materials does not stimulate demand, and it has not been possible to create attractive products that leverage these materials. Keres Tanaka Co., Ltd. takes these factors into account and, while reviewing traditional practices, proposes unique surface materials by incorporating cutting-edge processing and coating technologies.
