Ground cover plant: Krapia

Super ground cover plant "Krapia" introduced on the TV show "Dream Door." Winner of the 2008 Nikkei Excellent Product and Service Award - Excellence Award.

"Kurapia" is a variety of the native Japanese ground cover plant, improved over a period of ten years by Associate Professor Hitoshi Kuramochi at the Weed Science Research Center of Utsunomiya University. It is the only variety of ground cover plant registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Japan. It is used as a ground cover plant to replace grass and is utilized not only in Japan but also overseas for environmental improvement purposes such as desert greening.
