Sumitomo Light Metal Industries, Ltd. Engineering Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture on August 1, 2000, through the integration of the Urban Engineering Division of Sumitomo Light Metal Industries, Ltd. (now UACJ Corporation) and the Landscape Engineering Division of Japan Light Metal Co., Ltd., which were both spun off. In 2020, marking its 20th anniversary, the company changed its name to Nikkei Engineering Co., Ltd. as a new member of the Japan Light Metal Group. "A beautiful town and your aluminum future."
