下水道用ポリエチレン管・継手協会 Company Profile
The Polyethylene Pipe and Fittings Association for Sewage Systems will continue to make further efforts to promote and spread the development of sewage systems that support comfortable living.
The 2007 Tokyo Sewerage Exhibition attracted over 80,000 visitors. Our association showcased polyethylene pipes and fittings for sewerage at JSWAS K-14/15. Attendees were able to see the performance of polyethylene pipes through various testing videos and understand the reliability of EF joints. Additionally, in the "Sit and Experience Live Bending Corner," participants could see and touch the flexibility of the pipes, experiencing their solid performance as earthquake-resistant materials, and the event concluded successfully with positive feedback.

Business Activities
The polyethylene pipes and fittings for sewer systems have achieved a track record of approximately 1,230 km by the end of fiscal year 2005, and they are becoming increasingly important materials for future sewer infrastructure development. In December 2000, polyethylene pipes for sewer systems were established as the Japan Sewage Works Association standard JSWAS K-14. Subsequently, in May 2001, ribbed polyethylene pipes for sewer systems were established as JSWAS K-15. Furthermore, their superiority as "earthquake-resistant materials" has been confirmed by numerous empirical data, attracting attention from project managers and various stakeholders.
