Limestone is the only mineral resource that can be self-supplied in our country. It is a gift to humanity created by organisms on the seabed over 300 million years ago and is a valuable asset. Our city of Mine is known as one of the leading regions in Japan for producing high-quality limestone in large quantities. Limestone and lime are used in various fields, including steel, cement, and paper pulp, and recently, there has been an increase in demand for soil stabilizers, ALC (autoclaved lightweight concrete), and calcium silicate boards. As the problem of environmental pollution becomes more serious, lime plays a significant role in desulfurization, dechlorination, and water purification, contributing to the protection of the global environment. We are working to make effective use of limestone resources and striving to create new value.
