The "Wallet Key," which brings a major innovation to the hotel key situation that has undergone several generations of changes, including cylinder locks, magnetic locks, contactless card locks, and mobile keys, has finally been born. Full-scale implementation will begin within the year at domestic accommodations. This service directly delivers the Wallet Key to the wallet apps pre-installed on guests' smartphones. We will provide an overview and the latest information on hotel keys from the perspectives of business efficiency, energy conservation, and hotel digital transformation (DX).

At the Clarion Hotel, guests can use their iPhones and Apple Watches as digital keys to access facilities such as guest rooms, gyms, pools, and spas. The feature of this partnership is the utilization of security technology to combine the Strawberry Hotels guest app with ASSA ABLOY's cloud technology and Vingcard locks, enabling mobile key access in all guest rooms on the hotel premises. Furthermore, a notable point of this integration is privacy protection. The room key in Apple Wallet is supported by Vingcard door locks and Vostio Access Management, allowing guests to locate their devices using the "Find My" app or remotely disable the key even if the device is lost. "We are proud to provide our customers with the latest digital key technology and support a competitive business that continues to meet the growing needs of today's travelers," said Richard Eastburn, Project Management Director at Vingcard.
