◆Customer Issues◆ - We faced a risk of traffic accidents due to overgrown weeds near the intersection, which obstructed drivers' visibility. - Many complaints from citizens were received due to the overgrowth of weeds. We had to conduct grass cutting as a response to these complaints, resulting in management costs. ◆Points for Sheet Selection◆ - Since the customer desired a long-lasting weed control sheet, we proposed the high-durability weed control sheet "GU Sheet" with a 20-year lifespan. - To suppress weeds from the base of the posts, we suggested a "weed control rubber coat." ◆Customer Feedback◆ - The improvement in visibility within the intersection contributes to the traffic safety of citizens. - We used to conduct grass cutting 4 to 5 times a year as a response to complaints, but this will lead to cost reduction. - The weed control measures are effectively implemented up to the base of the posts, maintaining the landscape.

◆Customer Concerns◆ The slope next to the waterway. Since it faces residential areas and fields, regular grass cutting was being carried out. In some places, there were areas surrounded by fences or with steep inclines, making the work dangerous. In areas right next to the waterway, care was taken to ensure that the cut grass did not fall into the water, which made the work more labor-intensive. ◆Customer Feedback During Construction◆ - The sheet was soft and conformed to the uneven ground, making installation easier. It was also easier to handle the treatment of structures like concrete. - There were markers for the positions to install the pins, which shortened the work time.

As a measure against weeds, weed control sheets are utilized in various locations. Particularly along roadsides, where the proliferation of weeds can obstruct the view of drivers and pedestrians, making it dangerous, weed control sheets are commonly used. In areas with snowfall, when introducing weed control sheets along the roadside, there is a risk that the snowplow's bucket may catch the edge of the sheet, or the tires may roll over the edge, causing the sheet to tear and lift. As a countermeasure, one method is to lay the weed control sheet before asphalt paving and cover the edges of the sheet with asphalt during the paving process. This is an example of using polyester weed control sheets, taking advantage of the property that polyester has a higher melting point than asphalt (approximately 260°C). *For detailed construction methods, please contact our company.

Additionally, the poor visibility posed a risk of accidents. ◆Sheet Selection Points◆ - We adopted McLean sheets as they are 'high durability' and less likely to 'curl up.' - Since it is near an intersection, curling of the sheet could lead to accidents, so we used 'Hurricane Net' at the edges of the sheet. - For the edges that are on concrete, we used concrete pin sets to ensure they are securely fixed, not just welded. - We used 'Weed Prevention Rubber Coat' near the utility poles to address weed issues from the edges. ◆Customer Feedback◆ - Even after one year, weeds have been effectively suppressed. - There has been no curling of the sheets due to wind, allowing for safe passage.

◆Customer Issues◆ - We received complaints about weeds from the slope encroaching into the rice fields at the bottom of the slope. - Weeds on the shoulder were also encroaching onto the sidewalk, obstructing pedestrian passage. ◆Points for Sheet Selection◆ - Due to strong winds blowing down from the mountains and the nature of the slope, there were concerns about the sheets being blown away. Therefore, we selected a heavy McLean Sheet®. - To ensure the sheets are securely fixed, we used longer L-shaped anchor pins, φ9mm×300mm. - To suppress weeds from the base of the support posts, we used a weed prevention rubber coat. ◆Customer Feedback◆ - There has been no issue with the sheets being blown away by the wind, and after three years since installation, they are effectively suppressing weeds. - Weeds on the sidewalk have also been controlled, allowing pedestrians to pass safely. - Weed prevention measures have been thoroughly implemented up to the base of the posts, maintaining the landscape.
