[Case Study] Coating to Improve Release Properties of Tire Molds

Enabling coating down to the details! A case where durability has increased, resulting in reduced depreciation costs.

We would like to introduce a case where we solved the problems faced by a manufacturer of retreaded tires. [Problems] ■ Coating peels off in a short period ■ Performance lifespan is short and needs improvement [Improvements] Since studless tires have blades inserted into the mold, the structure is complex, and coatings often do not reach the finer details. We have made it possible to coat even the finer details by using a special painting gun, adjusting the number of painting cycles, and maintaining a constant temperature of the mold during painting. Additionally, we have successfully achieved durability by obtaining endurance data from tests across various types and using carefully selected coating materials. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Prevention of Silicone Packing Adhesion

Preventing packing damage! Introducing a case where the entire surface of the packing was coated!

We would like to introduce a case where we solved the problems faced by packing manufacturers and sterilization device manufacturers. 【Problems】 Silicone packing sticks to the opposing side and gets damaged. The silicone itself is very difficult to treat on the surface, making it hard to adhere. Additionally, unlike coatings on metals, packing materials stretch, so if the paint has poor followability, it often results in cracking or peeling. 【Effects】 We proposed our silicone-based fluororesin coating (our product number: KP-421-1) to the customer. This coating adheres well to silicone materials and forms a flexible and highly adhesive film, especially to rubber. As a result of coating the entire surface of the packing, sticking has improved, and the issue of damage has been eliminated. *For more detailed information, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Improvement of Durability Against Alkaline Solutions

Solving major issues that occur a few times a year! A case where resistance to alkaline solution was developed, preventing peeling.

We would like to introduce a case study that solved the problems faced by cleaning equipment manufacturers, semiconductor equipment manufacturers, and plating equipment manufacturers. 【Problem】 ◆ Fluororesin is coated, but when an alkaline cleaning solution is used in the cleaning process, the coating peels off immediately. 【Improvement】 Many primers (adhesives) for fluororesin coatings expand in alkaline conditions, and depending on the concentration, there are many cases where they peel off quickly. Additionally, alkaline solutions can penetrate through pinholes (small holes) in the painted area, eventually pushing up the coating from the inside and causing it to peel off. At our company, we carefully conduct hearings with customers about their usage environment, and if it is determined that a high concentration alkaline solution is being used, we utilize a special primer that is resistant to alkaline solutions. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Contract Processing: Fluorine Coating Technology 'UTF Coat Standard Type'

Achieved ultra-thin films of 6-7nm. Can be applied to various substrates with low-temperature processing below 60°C. We also accept inquiries for prototypes! *A collection of case studies for problem-solving will be provided.

The "UTF Coat Standard Type" is a fluorine coating technology that utilizes plasma treatment. By molecular bonding through plasma, it enhances the adhesion between the substrate and the coating, preventing peeling. Due to its ultra-thin film of 6 to 7 nm, it can be processed without concern for dimensional accuracy, and its non-stick, water-repellent, and oil-repellent effects last for a long time. Since it is processed at low temperatures below 60°C, it can be applied to various substrates, including metals, glass, ceramics, fabrics, and various engineering plastics. ★ Please feel free to consult us for prototype projects. 【Application Examples】 ■ Improvement of release properties for hard-to-release resin molds ■ Reduction of adhesion for O-rings, rubber seals, etc. ■ Prevention and reduction of debris adhesion on filters such as meshes and strainers ■ Prevention and reduction of adhesive attachment on cutting edges of cutters and knives ■ Reduction of eye dust, thread pulling, and cold slag in resin molding * We are currently offering a "Case Studies for Problem Solving" collection! For more details, please check the download button. Feel free to contact us as well.

Introduction to the Basics of Fluororesin (PTFE)

If you have any concerns such as "I want more glide," please feel free to consult us anytime!

We are engaged in the contract processing and sales of fluororesin coatings and linings at Nippon Fusso Technocoat. Here, we introduce "Basic Knowledge of Fluororesins (PTFE)." Fluororesins have various properties such as heat resistance, corrosion resistance, non-stick characteristics, sliding properties, thermal meltability, high purity, and prevention of leaching. This time, we will focus on a representative fluororesin called "PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)." Its molecular formula is -(CF2-CF2)n-. It has extremely strong molecular bonds of C-C and C-F. The continuous use temperature is 260°C, and the melting point is 327°C, which is exceptionally high for a resin. The dynamic friction coefficient is 0.1, providing extremely high sliding properties and non-stick performance. Examples of applications include sizing cylinders, rolls, chutes, guides, and various food processing equipment. If you have concerns such as "things sticking and causing trouble" or "wanting better sliding," please feel free to consult us at any time. If you are struggling with "sticky substances sticking," we can also introduce our strong adhesive release coating "Tack-Free." *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Fluororesin Q&A

"What is fluoropolymer coating?" We answer questions related to fluoropolymers!

Here is a Q&A regarding "fluororesin." 【Q&A】 ■ What are fluororesin coatings and linings? - Fluororesin possesses various characteristics such as "non-stick," "low friction," "corrosion resistance," and "insulation." Coating and lining involve surface treatment that utilizes these excellent properties of fluororesin. ■ What is the difference between fluororesin coatings and linings? - The main difference between coatings and linings is the film thickness. Both cover the surface of the base material and protect it by utilizing the properties of fluororesin, but in some cases, a thick film is applied specifically to achieve pinhole-free results. In the resin lining industry, a pinhole-free coating with a film thickness of 250μm or more is referred to as "lining." *You can view other Q&As through the link to our company website below. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
