[Construction Case] Fabric Formwork for Fabrication Flow Channel Construction

We propose measures for washing and excavation in stream channels with abundant spring water! You can obtain high-density, high-strength concrete hardening bodies.

We would like to introduce a case of "fabric formwork for reforming water channels." In this project, due to large-scale land development, the stream channels in the surrounding area were altered, leading to unexpected locations experiencing water infiltration, raising concerns about expansion. Since there are multiple spring water locations in the stream area, we selected a fabric formwork with drainage type. We designed and constructed it to drain backwater into the channel. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - The site is a forest, making it difficult for heavy machinery to enter and shape the slopes, resulting in a site with many irregularities. ■Proposal - A concrete body forming method that injects fluid concrete or mortar into high-strength synthetic fiber fabric formwork using a pump. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example] Fabric Formwork "Beltail"

Environmentally focused legal face protection work using a special fabric formwork made from high-strength synthetic fibers combined with planting technology!

We would like to introduce a case study of step-type revetment construction in agricultural pond embankment works. In this project, a fabric formwork was adopted for the embankment construction of agricultural ponds. After the installation of the fabric formwork, there was an issue where the surface of the fabric formwork became slippery due to moss and other growths on the fabric. To address these issues, we proposed the fabric formwork "Beltail." This allowed us to construct a stepped design on the embankment slope using the fabric formwork, enabling the establishment of a non-regular disaster prevention step. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - The growth of moss and other plants on the fabric caused the surface of the fabric formwork to become slippery. ■Results - A stepped design was successfully constructed on the embankment slope using the fabric formwork. - The construction was completed in a short time, resulting in reduced construction time and costs. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Disaster Recovery of Riverbank Protection in the Yamagata Region

Examples of using weather-resistant large soil bags, fabric formwork for fab reform, and site stabilization work with a comeback!

We would like to introduce a case study of disaster recovery methods for riverbank protection in mountainous areas. In this site, the riverbank collapsed due to increased water flow during heavy rain in a mountainous area. When implementing disaster recovery work, it was necessary to select a method that could utilize local materials as much as possible and had good workability. Therefore, we installed weather-resistant large sandbags on the backfill of the riverbank. As surface protection work, we set up fabric-formwork for the riverbank, and after constructing the riverbank, we carried out in-situ solidification work with a concrete backfill and performed the solidification work. 【Features of Fabric Formwork】 ■ Can be constructed with a small number of workers in a short time, reducing construction period and costs ■ Can be constructed underwater ■ Can be constructed in places where heavy machinery cannot enter ■ Mats can be produced to fit the site shape *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Fabric Formwork "FabriForm" Design Change Proposal

A case where we proposed an alternative method for cast-in-place concrete in the presence of spring water!

We would like to introduce a case where a fabric formwork "FabriForm" was adopted for the construction of a retention basin aimed at suppressing rainwater drainage associated with roadworks. At this site, an alternative construction method was required due to the need to remove groundwater in order to carry out the originally designed cast-in-place concrete. Therefore, we proposed and implemented this method as a surface protection work that allows construction even with some groundwater present, while also shortening the construction period. 【Features】 - Possible to construct with fewer workers and in a shorter time, leading to reduced construction period and costs - Construction possible underwater - Can be implemented in areas where heavy machinery cannot access - Mats can be produced to fit the site shape *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Fabric formwork/concrete mat Fabreform

The fabric formwork method "Fabreform," which can also be used for underwater construction, is attractive for its speed of installation.

FabriForm, which uses high-strength synthetic fibers and is also known as fabric formwork and concrete mat method, is a technique where concrete is injected into factory-made FabriForm mats based on design drawings and allowed to cure on-site. Compared to traditional cast-in-place concrete and the laying of precast blocks, it enables construction with fewer personnel and in a shorter time frame. Since underwater construction is possible, it eliminates the need for switching work and water-stopping work, resulting in shortened construction periods and enhanced economic efficiency. It adapts well to complex slopes with varying gradients, achieving a uniform thickness. Due to pressure injection by pumps, it can cover a wide area at once, regardless of slopes or flat areas. The FabriForm mats are lightweight, allowing for safe construction and easy transportation and storage. The water-cement ratio is significantly reduced, leading to particularly high initial strength and a shortened curing period. We offer a wide range of options tailored to usage conditions, including filter point type, no-filter type, and greening type. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

Slope protection and revetment "Fabreform" [*Construction case studies available!]

Achieving labor reduction and cost reduction! The "Fabreform method" involves pouring concrete into fabric molds. It also demonstrates its effectiveness in disaster recovery.

The "Fabric Formwork Method," also known as fabric formwork and concrete mats, was developed in the United States and introduced in Japan in 1970. Since then, efforts have been made to develop and promote the technology, achieving many accomplishments. The "Fabric Formwork Method" is a concrete forming method in which fluid concrete or mortar is pumped into a fabric formwork made of high-strength synthetic fibers processed into a mat shape. Because the fabric formwork is permeable, excess mixing water is squeezed out by the injection pressure, reducing the water-cement ratio (W/C), which accelerates the curing time and results in the formation of a high-density, high-strength cured body. Fabric Formwork is a certified product by the Fabric Formwork Association. 【Features】 ○ Labor-saving ○ Cost-effective For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
