Leading to solutions for problems! A "flexible waveguide" that can be bent freely!

Entering the waveguide business for 5th generation communication (5G)! We will support the communication needs of "millimeter waves" (radio waves with wavelengths from 1 millimeter to 10 millimeters)!

Metal is used for waveguides that ensure strong directivity in millimeter wave transmission, making it difficult to bend and wire at free angles. However, while "flexible waveguides" have slightly higher transmission loss values, they exhibit minimal changes even when bent sharply. For more details, please refer to the "Flexible Waveguide Manual" or the "Nikkankogyo Shimbun Waveguide Description."

[Consultation Case for Metal 3D Printing] Special Waveguide Production Part 1

For requests such as 'I want to achieve a complex structure' and 'I also want to request 3D data design'!

I would like to introduce a case where a associate professor from a national research institution conducting research on electromagnetic waves consulted about the need for a waveguide to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. To achieve a high-performance waveguide, we gathered information on the appropriate shape and proposed a design suitable for 3D printing. We implemented three different methods for surface treatment of the internal flow path. As a result, we realized the desired shape and advanced the research with three types of waveguides featuring different surface treatments. Following the research results, a request for a new prototype was made. 【Case Overview (Partial)】 ■ Issue - A waveguide (a metal pipe that transmits electromagnetic waves) is needed to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. ■ Requests - We want to achieve a complex structure. - We would like to request 3D data design as well. - We want to manufacture a high-performance waveguide. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related link. For further inquiries, feel free to contact us.

[Consultation Case for Metal 3D Printing] Special Waveguide Production Part 3

We will introduce examples that respond to requests such as applying copper plating to the surface and internal flow paths.

I would like to introduce a case where an associate professor from a national research institute conducting research on electromagnetic waves consulted about the need for a waveguide to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. In response to requests such as "I want to apply copper plating to the surface and internal flow path," we changed the material to aluminum and implemented electroless nickel plating and electroless copper plating. As a result, the primary goal of successfully applying copper plating to the interior was achieved, allowing the research to advance, and it was decided to challenge changing the metal material and shape for the next iteration. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issue - A waveguide (a metal pipe that transmits electromagnetic waves) is needed to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. ■ Requests - I want to change the material to high heat-resistant stainless steel. - I would like the size to be smaller. - I want to apply copper plating to the surface and internal flow path. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. For further inquiries, please feel free to contact us.

[Consultation Case for Metal 3D Printing] Special Waveguide Production Part 2

We have responded to requests to increase the size and change the shape from the previous prototype!

I would like to introduce a case where an associate professor from a national research institute conducting research on electromagnetic waves consulted us about the need for a waveguide to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. There was a request to "increase the size and change the shape from the previous prototype," and we verified the optimization of the internal cavity through preliminary prototyping. We also addressed surface treatment by implementing chemical polishing based on the results from the previous iteration. As a result, we were able to achieve the desired size and shape, and we were able to manufacture additional components within the budget. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Issue - A waveguide (a metal pipe that transmits electromagnetic waves) is needed to accurately and evenly transmit fine electromagnetic waves. ■ Request - To increase the size and change the shape from the previous prototype. *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. Feel free to contact us for more details.
