The arrival of a significant business opportunity through water administration integration: the unification of water supply and sewage systems, the broadening of water administration, public-private partnerships, and technological development.
Our company will hold a seminar on "The Current State of Domestic and International Water Business and Specific Case Studies."
The overseas water business is expected to present significant business opportunities, with the water supply and sewage business projected to exceed 150 trillion yen by 2050 due to population growth and industrial advancements. The market for water treatment equipment is anticipated to grow at an average annual rate of 6%. On the other hand, the domestic water business market is facing a challenging situation with declining revenue due to population decrease and advancements in water-saving devices. However, a significant business opportunity has arisen. For the past 63 years, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has overseen the water supply business, but starting this April, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will take over, leading to the integration of water administration, including water resource management, water rights, river administration, and national resilience related to water. The integration of water supply and sewage, the broadening of water administration, public-private partnerships, and technological development represent major upcoming business opportunities. This will be explained in detail based on specific case studies.
