[Case Study of e-Wireless Patrol Implementation] Nippon Paper Industries Shiraoi Plant

Introducing a case where the work hours/frequency were reduced by 80%! Now able to patrol efficiently.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "e-Wireless Patrol" at Nippon Paper Industries' Shiraoi Plant, which is engaged in the manufacturing and sales of paper. At this company, the factory operates 24 hours a day, and when unexpected stoppages occur, losses including materials arise, so regular patrols were conducted. With the implementation, patrols have become more efficient. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues Before Implementation - Monitoring (patrolling) of motors/pumps within the factory takes a lot of time. - Judging abnormal sounds from motors can only be accurately done by skilled workers. ■ Implementation Effects - Reduced the labor hours/frequency required for patrols by 80%. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[e-Wireless Patrol Implementation Case] Metal Melting Recycling Industry

Introducing a case where it became possible to understand the situation using a trend graph while being in the office!

We would like to introduce a case study of a company engaged in metal melting recycling that has implemented "e-Wireless Patrol." The company regularly conducted vibration measurements to detect abnormalities in the motors of dust collectors and the exhaust fans of melting furnaces. After implementation, constant monitoring of temperature and acceleration data allowed them to grasp the situation through trend graphs while remaining in the office. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues Before Implementation - Measurement methods varied by person, leading to discrepancies, making it difficult to detect abnormalities even after checking the measured data. - It was cumbersome to regularly visit the site. ■ Benefits of Implementation - Constant monitoring of temperature and acceleration data enabled them to grasp the situation through trend graphs while remaining in the office. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Demonstration Experiment of Structural Monitoring Targeting Gunkanjima

Multi-point time synchronization and lossless data collection were evaluated and adopted. A demonstration experiment was conducted on Gunkanjima.

We would like to introduce a case where Mitsui Sumitomo Construction Co., Ltd. has implemented the 'sonas x01' system, which has been developed to address the challenges of maintaining and managing infrastructure structures through a low-cost, wireless vibration measurement system. Sonas has consistently supported hardware design, including sensor casing and device selection, network construction with UNISONet, and data upload to the cloud, resulting in the establishment of a long-term stable system. With this initiative, we were able to collect vibration data from multiple points in Building 30 and monitor it remotely at all times. 【Case Study】 ■ Implementing Company: Mitsui Sumitomo Construction Co., Ltd. ■ Challenges Before Implementation: - Conducted a demonstration experiment on Gunkanjima to investigate the deterioration of RC structures. ■ Reason for Selection: Multi-point time synchronization and lossless data collection were evaluated and adopted. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The role of earthquake sensors in predictive maintenance.

Explaining why smart devices that provide practical information are essential for the entire business!

The 5485C speed sensor and the SA6200A acceleration sensor are two examples of Metrix's seismic sensors. The reliability of a predictive maintenance program depends not only on detecting problems but also on identifying their root causes. Saying "the bearing is in the early failure stage and still has 10 years of life left" is completely meaningless. All installed rolling element bearings (REB) are in the early failure stage from the moment they are installed. While marketing information may not describe it this way, rolling bearings are not "frictionless" bearings. The grease or oil that lubricates the bearings helps reduce friction within the bearings, but over time, degradation begins due to normal wear and tear. *For more details, please refer to the related links. Advanced Trends in Proximity Systems: What You Should Know

We will introduce examples of companies that have actually tested new features and changes in the situation!

With the advancement of technology, digital proximity systems continue to evolve. Like all technologies, proximity systems have come a long way in monitoring rotating machinery and reciprocating machines. The proximity systems used for vibration monitoring began with the development of the first linear system in the late 1950s. This proximity system was capable of measuring with an accuracy of up to one-thousandth of an inch. *For more details, you can view the related links.
