Thailand – Cybersecurity Law, Buddhist Era 2562 (AD 2019)

Announcement date: May 24, 2019, the competent authority is the National Cyber Security Committee (NCSC).

The purpose is to effectively maintain cybersecurity established to prevent, address, and mitigate risks from cyber threats that affect national security and domestic peace. The reason for the promulgation of this law is that there is currently active provision of services or applications related to computer networks, the internet, and telecommunications networks, creating dangerous situations regarding cyber incidents that could impact national security. It is considered advantageous to define the characteristics of critical missions or services of critical information infrastructure for both government and private organizations that address cyber incidents to maintain domestic peace.
