Renovation of the existing system! Successful replacement with TOF sensors, reuse of wiring, and reduction of construction costs.
We would like to introduce a case study of the TOF sensor replacement by the Tottori Prefecture and Okayama Prefecture Joint Antenna Shop Management Council Secretariat.
The themes for the introduction included reducing reliance on PCs, improving accuracy, and cost considerations. The system was implemented due to the evaluation of the high-precision TOF sensor, the dedicated data collection device (POCTAS B2), and the ability to reuse existing LAN cables.
Wiring was reused, and the new system allows for direct data collection and display via a controller. The number of devices requiring maintenance has decreased, making management easier.
[Case Overview]
■ Issue: Aging of the PCs in use and discontinuation of the thermal sensors that were introduced.
■ Result: Resolved the issues of the old system and achieved an upgrade to a more efficient and accurate system.
