The PV CHECKs solar power measurement device covers the inspection items (ground wire continuity resistance, insulation resistance, open circuit voltage, short circuit current, and current measurement during PCS operation) that should be checked at the completion and maintenance inspection of solar power generation systems, all in one device. The measurement items comply with the JPEA guidelines, which are the maintenance and inspection guidelines for solar power generation systems provided by the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association. For open circuit voltage and short circuit current measurements, a comparative judgment is made using a solar radiation sensor and a temperature sensor to perform STC (Standard Test Conditions) calculations, and pass/fail judgments are made based on absolute value comparisons with the registered rated values of the modules. The insulation resistance measurement can identify areas where the insulation resistance of the string has deteriorated, as the measurement device has a built-in short circuit. With the standard inclusion of a DC clamp, it is also possible to measure the power generation efficiency on the module side without stopping the PCS.
