Case study collection distribution! 3D laser scanner measurement service

Case study collection distribution! We will distribute a collection of case studies introducing measurement examples for dams, tunnels, plants, and more.

A 3D laser scanner is a machine that captures a large amount of point cloud data as coordinate values all at once, allowing for non-contact digitization of visible objects such as natural features, terrain, structures, and urban landscapes, instantly. It can visualize surfaces that are normally not visible, as well as create diagrams from various viewpoints. Since the survey area itself is captured as 3D data, there is no need for on-site diagramming. The "Measurement Service Case Collection" includes various measurement examples such as terrain measurement of 800,000 m², earth volume management at construction sites, cases of landslide disasters, and applications in tunnels. [Featured Cases] - Landslide disaster cases - Measurement in excavation surveys - Measurement examples in plants - Measurement case of Nagoya Castle stone walls - Measurement examples of dams For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

What is the definition of 3D?

To companies considering the introduction of high-precision 3D laser scanners: We will explain the definition of 3D.

3D refers to three dimensions. It represents three-dimensional shapes and spaces. At SGS Corporation, we sell and rent high-precision 3D laser scanners. If you are considering implementation, please contact us. [Points to deepen understanding of 3D] ■ Definition of coordinates - 3D space is defined by the values of X, Y, and Z coordinates. ■ Polygon - A polygonal surface created by connecting three or more vertices formed from X, Y, and Z coordinate data with lines. - Generally, triangular or quadrilateral polygons are used. - They are easy to calculate and can represent complex shapes. ■ Segment - Refers to a part of something that has been divided, smoothing out the angular parts of shapes represented by polygons. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

UAV laser scanner surveying

UAV laser scanner surveying

Overview… UAV-mounted small Lider system Specialized for terrain measurement Rich LaserScanner specifications Rate: 40,000 points/second, Distance: Reflectance 30% to 250m, Field of view: 90° Distance measurement accuracy: 6mm at 50m, 20mm at 150m Equipped with class-leading INS* Horizontal accuracy: 10mm, vertical accuracy: 20mm, Attitude accuracy: Pitch/Roll 0.015° Characteristics… Why use a 3D laser scanner?! In photogrammetry, it is impossible to measure all terrain surfaces. While photogrammetry is common for UAV measurement content, photographs capture visible landscapes, so when trees are present, only the surface layer of the trees can be captured, and measurements of the ground surface cannot be performed. The Lider system uses lasers to measure the ground by passing through gaps in the trees. By directly measuring both the surface layer of the trees and the ground surface data and performing filtering, it removes the trees and creates terrain map data (DEM) necessary for civil engineering design and other applications.

Drone Laser Scanner System "TDOT 7 NIR-S"

Integration of the TDOT system and the Leagle-made laser unit, born as a high-performance laser scanner system.

■ The drone-mounted laser scanning system "TDOT" is integrated with the RIEGL "VUX120," which boasts an astonishing performance of up to 2,400,000 pulses per second and 400 lines. Utilizing the high-performance GNSS/INS navigation system characteristic of the TDOT series, it achieves a seamless process from flight to data output. The long-awaited high-end laser scanner system "TDOT 7 NIR-S" has been born. ■ High-precision positioning of the drone's location, attitude, and orientation. Equipped with a high-performance GNSS/INS integrated navigation system that enhances the data output rate. The INS of the TDOT series is designed to achieve high-precision surveying within a few tens of millimeters while emitting laser light tens of thousands of times per second. ■ Seamless kinematic processing. The TDOT series provides a system that automates optimal trajectory analysis using electronic reference points and fixed stations, which require specialized knowledge, seamlessly constructing a series of tasks up to point cloud data output.

Drone Laser Scanner System "TDOT 3 GREEN"

A lightweight green laser system that is resistant to water absorption and capable of underwater surveying, suitable for surveying mountainous areas, river regions, and coastal areas.

In general drone laser surveying, near-infrared laser light is used. While near-infrared is inexpensive and easy to handle, it is easily absorbed by water and has a low reflectivity on black objects, which can result in the inability to obtain surface data depending on the condition of the ground as well as the underwater terrain. The TDOT 3 GREEN uses green laser light, which has a wavelength that can overcome the weaknesses of near-infrared. Like near-infrared, it can also survey land, allowing the TDOT 3 GREEN to perform terrain surveys both on land and underwater with just one unit. ■ Seamless Kinematic Processing The TDOT series provides a system that automates optimal trajectory analysis using electronic reference points and fixed stations, which require expertise, and seamlessly integrates the entire process up to point cloud data output. ■ Real-Time Display of Data During Surveying Since cross-sectional data during surveying can be checked in real-time, it is possible to understand whether the surveying work is being carried out as planned.
