GramForce Gripper

A double-acting ultra-low friction gripper that applies Airpot's ultra-precision fitting technology to parallel opening and closing control.

The GramForce gripper is a double-acting ultra-low friction gripper that achieves extremely delicate and precise parallel opening and closing control through the ultra-precise fitting of the piston and cylinder, a unique technology developed by Airpot Corporation, which is difficult to achieve with other products. Unlike general parallel hands or chucks that use a crank mechanism, the gripping force remains constant throughout the opening and closing stroke. Additionally, the parallel synchronous design utilizing a counterbalance mechanism maintains a consistent gripping force regardless of the fixed direction, and it can be used without lubrication or oiling in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to +80°C.

Collaborative Robot Implementation Case | Daily Production Doubled with Wrist Camera

When deadlines are tight, ensure continuous operation! Picking using vision from robots.

WALT Machine Inc. receives large orders with short delivery times every year. By the time the training for new employees is completed, most of the orders have already been delivered, and the employees' contracts have also ended. The use of robot vision for picking has been considered for a long time, but the integration costs have been a significant barrier. By implementing Robotiq's List Camera and 2-Finger 140 Gripper on the Universal Robot UR10, the company has been able to operate continuously during tight deadlines. The camera identifies the raw parts on the table, and the gripper picks them up. The parts are then placed into the CNC machine, and the robot presses the start button. Once that is done, the robot retrieves the parts and repeats the same process. [Products in use] ■ Insights ■ 2F-85 / 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us at v.li@robotiq.com.

Collaborative Robot Implementation Case Studies | Behind the Scenes of Collaborative Robots by Robotiq

Success in automation! Expanding production capacity and automation capabilities to meet increasing demand.

WALT Machine Inc. has experienced a significant increase in demand, but hiring new employees has not been easy. The company's president has already succeeded in automating the first CNC machine and is looking to expand its production and automation capabilities to meet the growing needs from customers. Instead of trying to automate everything at once, he started small and succeeded. The Robotiq 2F-140 gripper mounted on a ceiling-mounted universal robot UR10 is tending three different machines. He is now looking to install the Robotiq CNC Machine Tending Kit on the new UR to automate a second application. 【Overview】 ■ Products Used ・Insights ・2F-85 / 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers ■ Application: Machine Tending / Pick & Place *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us at v.li@robotiq.com.

Collaborative Robot Implementation Case | Improving Production Capacity and Stability

Using Robotiq's 2-Finger Adaptive Grippers! Introducing a case study of automating collaborative robots.

Whippany Actuation Systems is facing a rising demand for specialized parts, necessitating an increase in the factory's manufacturing capacity and prompting several critical choices. The options include purchasing new CNC machines, outsourcing work, or implementing automation. As a result, the company introduced Robotiq's 2-Finger Adaptive Grippers. By pulling open the door of the CNC machine, retrieving processed parts from inside, and placing new blank parts for processing in their place, they automated a collaborative robot to instruct the CNC machine to start work. [Overview] ■ Products used: 2F-85 / 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers ■ Application: Machine tending *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us via email at v.li@robotiq.com.

Collaborative Robot Implementation Case | Integrating a Robot Cell in Just 5 Days

Easy to install, set up, and use! Automating CNC machines makes financial sense as well.

There are many things that a manufacturing startup must do. If tasks can be automated in a cost-effective manner, it can lead to valuable time savings and assurance of product quality. However, many robotic solutions become prohibitively expensive due to integration costs alone. The cost of integrating Robotiq's gripper with Universal Robots represents only a small fraction of the product's value. Our Plug + Play components are easy to install, set up, and use. To continue producing high-quality eyewear, automating CNC machines makes financial sense, and the team at Lowercase NYC has been able to focus on tasks that require human skills. [Overview] ■ Products used: 2F-85 / 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers ■ Application: Machine Tending For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us at v.li@robotiq.com.
