Monitoring Data Collection System

We collect and analyze biometric and location information from various sensors using IoT on a cloud server.

The Wireless Communication Research Institute handles the "Monitoring Data Collection System." This system installs position detection sensors and sheet sensors (beds) within facilities to collect monitoring data during the day and night. From the various data obtained, the daily living activities (ADL) of the care recipients are automatically measured, and the five basic daily actions are automatically assessed from the sensor data using the FIM (Functional Independence Measure). This result is utilized by caregivers and facility staff through an application. Achieving low-power monitoring of steel bridge deflection! Introducing examples of system construction.

As many domestic bridges are simultaneously reaching their service life, deflection is one of the important indicators in bridge maintenance management. In deflection monitoring, there has been a demand for a power-efficient battery-operated system that can acquire three-axis acceleration data at multiple points on the girder over the medium to long term. The Sonas x series has responded to this need by establishing a system that can continuously acquire deflection values on actual road bridges. This application note presents a case study of a system built to efficiently collect acceleration data at the timing of large vehicles passing through, aimed at the continuous acquisition of deflection values on road bridges. *For more details on the case study, please refer to the related links.
