Lithium-ion secondary batteries are known to degrade the electrolyte and release gases due to repeated charging and discharging. The MICROPACKED-ST column is the ideal column for gas chromatography analysis of gas components generated from lithium-ion batteries (such as H2, O2, N2, CO, CH4, CO2, C2H4, C2H6, etc.). The MICROPACKED-ST column is filled with ShinCarbon-ST, an original product from Shinwa Chemical Industries. Various detectors, such as TCD and MS, can be used, making it widely useful for research and development as well as quality testing of lithium-ion secondary batteries.
