Non-destructive measurement of the thickness of coatings and plating applied to metals.
It is possible to measure coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates in combination with the probe.
The probe is compatible, so you can freely combine the main unit and the probe. Depending on the measurement target, you can connect a compatible probe for ferrous substrates (electromagnetic type), a probe for non-ferrous metal substrates (eddy current type), or a dual probe for both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. The newly introduced dual-type probe (FN-325) can automatically recognize and measure ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a two-point adjustment for zero and standard calibration. It complies with standards such as JIS K 5600, as well as regulations, internal rules, and standards from government agencies, testing laboratories, research institutes, and various organizations, including international standards like ISO 2808. *If you are using it for the first time, please select at least one type of main unit and one type of probe.
It is a coating observation instrument that combines a blade for cutting coatings and a 50x microscope.
We have various chips available to suit your needs. *Please select one from the options below.* - Chip No.1 【Measurement range: 20 to 2000μm (1 division 20μm)】 - Chip No.4 【Measurement range: 10 to 1000μm (1 division 10μm)】 - Chip No.5 【Measurement range: 5 to 500μm (1 division 5μm)】 - Chip No.6 【Measurement range: 2 to 200μm (1 division 2μm)】 - Chip No.7 【Measurement range: 1 to 100μm (1 division 1μm)】
It is a thickness gauge for measuring thick materials up to 20mm.
- It is a thickness gauge for measuring thick materials from 0 to 20mm. - It is used for measuring the thickness of linings on magnetic metal substrates such as iron and steel. - It features an easy-to-understand Japanese guide display. - It does not have measurement memory functions or connectivity features with a PC.
Despite its portable size, it allows for easy and non-destructive film thickness measurement.
◆◇◆ Sample experiments and demo unit rentals available ◆◇◆ The portable thickness gauge "K5-C" series measures the thickness of coatings and plating non-destructively using magnetic or eddy current principles. It features a dual type with interchangeable probes, allowing for tailored use according to the measurement target. Despite being portable, it enables easy and accurate thickness measurements. It possesses the functionality and performance to accommodate both laboratory and field work. It can be used across a wide range of fields, including manufacturing, metal processing, and chemical industries. Thanks to its energy-efficient design, it allows for up to 12 hours of continuous measurement. *Duration may vary depending on the measurement environment. Lightweight and compact design Weighs only 120g; dimensions 125mm x 60mm x 20mm.
It can measure coatings of magnetic and non-magnetic metals with a single unit. It has a memory function for measurement values and allows data transfer to a computer via USB connection.
■Measurement Range ・Electromagnetic: 0 to 2.50mm ・Eddy Current: 0 to 2.00mm
Introducing the wet film thickness gauge and the dry film thickness gauge!
There are mainly two types of film thickness gauges. Wet film thickness gauge: This type of gauge is used after applying liquid paint, before the paint film has fully cured. By accurately measuring the thickness of the paint film, it allows for understanding the film thickness at the time of application. Wet film thickness gauges are helpful for quality control during the application process and for saving paint. Dry film thickness gauge: This type of gauge is used after the applied paint film has completely cured. The dry film thickness gauge is utilized to measure the thickness of the paint film after the painting work is finished, confirming the quality of the finish. By accurately measuring the thickness after curing, it can be determined whether it meets the painting specifications. For more details, please refer to the PDF below.
