[Case Study] Resin Pallet Transport AGV (Certain Parts Factory)

Automating pallet transportation between processes with AGVs! We have adopted automatic charging that allows for charging while waiting.

We would like to introduce a case study of a certain parts factory that has implemented an "Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) System." The pallet transportation process, which was previously carried out using manual vehicles, has been automated with AGVs. When a transportation request is made via the control panel, the AGV is instructed to transport the pallets through a LAN wireless connection, allowing for the automatic supply of empty pallets and the dispensing of actual pallets. Additionally, we have adopted an automatic charging system that allows the AGVs to charge while on standby. 【Case Overview】 ■ Industry: Manufacturing ■ Implemented System: Automated Guided Vehicle System ■ Location: Certain Parts Factory *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Explanation of the driving method and collaboration of AMR AGVs.

A detailed explanation of the differences between AGV and AMR, which are surprisingly not well known, covering aspects such as driving methods and collaboration!

The biggest difference between AGVs and AMRs is their mode of operation. AGV stands for Automated Guided Vehicle, and as the name "Guided" suggests, it refers to unmanned transport vehicles that determine their route using guiding materials such as magnetic tape. On the other hand, AMR, which stands for Autonomous Mobile Robot, does not require guiding materials. It obtains its position from information provided by sensors and navigates according to its objectives. Our company's 'SiBOT' adopts a SLAM method for self-position estimation using lasers, allowing it to automatically calculate the route to its destination and move autonomously to that destination. Unlike AGVs that follow a guide, AMRs can detect and avoid obstacles while navigating. This means that even if there are people or cargo in the same area, they can reach their destination while avoiding collisions, demonstrating excellent collaboration with humans. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us by mentioning "Ipros."

[Case Study] Unmanned Transport Vehicle

After implementation, I will introduce examples of unmanned transport vehicles that have reduced the number of personnel and improved work efficiency!

Here are some examples of "unmanned transport vehicles." In outdoor AGVs, people repeatedly went up and down transporting items between buildings, but after the introduction of AGVs, the workforce was reduced, and work efficiency improved. In the case of the loading conveyor type, items and pallets are transported on the upper level, and after extracting the items, only the empty pallets are returned to the AGV via a two-tier conveyor, with a lift installed on the ground-level conveyor. 【Example Introduction】 ■ Outdoor AGV ■ Loading conveyor type ■ In-factory operation image (CG movie) ■ Line improvement case studies *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Multiple AGVs run freely in all directions! A system that transports items quickly without collisions.

There is a proven track record of use in transporting between pick shelves and supplying to inspection and packing stations! We have received positive feedback such as "Shipping capacity has increased" and "Cost and power consumption have been reduced."

The "T-Carry system" is a system in which multiple AGVs travel "freely in all directions" without colliding, quickly transporting items to designated destinations. It allows for flexible layouts, and by laying down a designated mat on the floor, it can be operational immediately. If the travel surface is partitioned into multiple levels, double-layer operation is also possible. Its easy implementation enables low-cost and quick setup. Additionally, in the event of an AGV malfunction, simply removing the faulty unit allows for immediate recovery. It is also possible to add AGVs while in operation. 【Features】 ■ Flexible: Allows for free layouts ■ Easy to implement: Achieves low-cost and quick setup ■ Low risk: AGVs can be removed or added individually ■ The top shape can be changed according to the items being transported and the method of transport *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] 6.4 Ton Long-Length Heavy Cargo Transport AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)

Introducing examples of process design that enable safe and secure operations, accommodating lateral and diagonal movements from forward and backward travel!

We would like to introduce a case study of a roll processing company that has implemented a "Long Roll Transport System." Since crane operations must always be performed by an operator, high transport distances and frequency became an issue regarding the operator's time constraints, leading to the consideration of alternative transport methods. An all-directional AGV was introduced, improving flexible layout design and increasing the stability of the vehicle's drive, enabling a safe and secure process design. 【Case Overview】 ■Industry: Manufacturing (Environmental-related) ■Implemented System: Long Roll Transport System ■Client: Roll Processing Company *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
