6.4 tons - Long-length heavy cargo transportation - AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)

We developed a solution for transporting long and heavy items, which is impossible with general-purpose equipment, by leveraging Shikou's expertise in specialized design!

The transportation of heavy objects mainly uses overhead cranes. However, since crane operations must always be performed by an operator, high transportation distances and frequencies can lead to issues with the operator's time constraints, prompting the consideration of alternative transportation methods. Therefore, based on Shikou's track record, an all-directional AGV capable of transportation was introduced, accommodating forward and backward movement as well as lateral and diagonal movement, enhancing flexible layout design and increasing the stability of the vehicle's drive, enabling a safe and secure process design.

We would like to introduce a case where a customer in the metal processing industry implemented a "slide fork-equipped AGV (automated guided vehicle)." The customer's challenge before implementation was to "utilize the effective area of the manufacturing line in narrow passages where forklifts and similar equipment cannot be used." To address this, a lift-and-slide device was mounted on the AGV.
