Equip necessary facilities to ensure emergency water supply to citizens, based on the city's stockpile as a principle.
We would like to introduce a case where our seismic-resistant water storage tank, which also serves as a drinking water supply, was installed as an emergency water supply tank in Higashimatsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture.
During the construction at the west exit of Higashimatsuyama Station in fiscal year 2008, and at the east exit of the same station in fiscal year 2009, it was important to minimize the required area during construction.
Therefore, our vertical cylindrical product, which does not require a long opening, was adopted using our caisson method.
We planned the construction with safety considerations to avoid impacting the water distribution pipes and to ensure that it would not obstruct the passage of citizens. Additionally, we were able to significantly reduce the total construction costs.
