Introduction to the electrostatic current version of μ-EXCEL

Calculating the current density within the conductor and the resistance between the electrodes.

In the electrostatic current version, we calculate the current density within the conductor and the resistance between the electrodes. It addresses a variety of themes such as thermistors, heating wires, printed circuit boards, and sensor electrodes. For more details, please refer to the "Introduction to 163 ex Electrostatic Current Version" on 【Analysis Know-How.com】. Key points are as follows: - The electrostatic current version checks the current distribution within the conductor. - It is a simple analysis, but there are various themes. - For thermistors, we examine the current density between the electrodes. - For heating wires in rear glass, we consider how to ensure an even current flow. - In printed circuit boards, we estimate heat generation from the current density in the wiring. - For sensor electrodes, we estimate the material of the lower layer based on resistance values.

【Analysis Know-How.com】Handling of Permanent Magnets in μ-EXCEL!

The finite element method automatically calculates the operating point of the magnet (permeance coefficient) based on the defined shape!

To define a permanent magnet in magnetic field analysis, the magnet's BH (demagnetization) curve is required. An image from the manufacturer's catalog is shown below, and we will use the BH curve that connects the residual magnetic flux density Br and the coercive force Hc. The catalog also includes the JH curve (magnetization curve) and the maximum energy product BHmax. In the finite element method, the operating point of the magnet (permeance coefficient) is automatically calculated based on the defined shape. For information on "the definition of permanent magnets," please refer to NO. 119 on "Analysis Know-How.com."
