Energy conservation, decarbonization, electricity cost reduction CS-VP chaos map and industry map
This chaos map is an industry map classified along two axes: the vertical axis represents customers, and the horizontal axis represents the value provided.
"Energy Coloring" has conducted research and analysis on energy-saving, decarbonization, and electricity cost reduction services in the power industry through hearings with industry stakeholders since its establishment in 2019. In the classification process, we focused on unique features compared to other companies using information available on the internet, or classified based on what is commonly referred to as the core business. A typical chaos map classifies companies and services based on the similarity of the services offered and groups them together. However, during the analysis of services in the power industry, we found many instances of "companies with the same VP but different CS" and "companies with the same CS but not in a competitive relationship." It became clear that simply using similarity would group together companies that are not essentially in the same category, leading to a lack of clarity. The CS-VP chaos map allows us to group companies that are in competition with each other, making it possible to list players by business model within the power industry.
