For the analysis of civil structures, general-purpose structural analysis software 'ISCEF'

It is a structural analysis software (CAE) specialized for civil engineering structures such as dams and related structures. It is capable of coupled analysis of structures and fluids, as well as slip stability analysis.

"ISCEF" is a general-purpose structural analysis code developed independently by our company using the finite element method. It excels in the analysis of ground, rock, and related structures due to its dynamic analysis coupling capabilities for structures and fluids, as well as its crack tracking functionality for concrete structures. However, it also demonstrates sufficient functionality in general structural analysis due to its high versatility (including two-dimensional and three-dimensional problems, static and dynamic problems, linear and nonlinear problems, etc.). We have a proven track record not only for the dam body but also for various ancillary structures such as steel gates, dam intake towers, and gate pillars. Leveraging the strengths of our in-house development, we can accommodate detailed customizations based on your requests. Additionally, we offer contracted analysis services using the same software. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

ISCEF Utilization Case / Dam [Crack Tracking Function for Concrete Structures]

Nonlinear dynamic analysis can reproduce the occurrence and progression of cracks at their origin! ISCEF, a structural analysis software suitable for large-scale structures.

We would like to introduce the application examples of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', suitable for civil engineering structures. In concrete structures such as gravity dams, it is necessary to simulate crack propagation, reproduce the movement of joint connections, and conduct analyses considering propagation speed by modeling the reservoir as a compressible fluid. To understand the vibration characteristics of the entire dam, we propose optimal analysis procedures and methods, taking into account the characteristics of the analysis targets, including "actual eigenvalue analysis," "static analysis," and "time history response analysis." [Gravity Dam Analysis] ■ Actual Eigenvalue Analysis ■ Static Analysis ■ Time History Response Analysis *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[ISCEF Use Case] Tunnels and Excavation

Introducing case studies of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', optimized for large-scale structures.

We would like to introduce the case studies of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', which is optimal for civil engineering structures. In tunnel design, which has been based on empirical engineering, there is a growing demand for deeper investigations through numerical analysis. Our company proposes the most suitable analysis methods according to construction conditions such as excavation and support work. Furthermore, by reproducing the nonlinear characteristics of structural elements (beams, rods, springs, etc.) necessary for modeling not only the ground but also the structures, we can achieve analyses with enhanced reproducibility. [Tunnel Analysis] ■ Initial Earth Pressure Analysis - Pre-excavation earth pressure stress - Post-excavation stress distribution ■ Construction - Construction model - Post-construction stress distribution *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[ISCEF Use Case] Temperature Analysis

Introducing case studies of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF' optimized for large-scale structures.

We will introduce the use case of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', which is optimal for civil engineering structures. In large-scale mass concrete construction, such as dams, temperature stress due to the hydration heat of cement and temperature cracking become significant issues. To achieve higher quality construction, factors like lift schedules and curing conditions have a major impact, and these construction conditions also reflect on the project timeline and costs, necessitating more optimal construction plans. Our company considers the characteristics of the analysis target and proposes appropriate analysis approaches and methods. 【Temperature Analysis】 ■ Analysis Settings ■ Temperature Conditions ■ Constraint Matrix Method *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Technical Data] ISCEF Fiber Element

I will explain in detail about fiber elements, which are elements that represent cross-sectional shapes, using diagrams.

This technical document introduces the ISCEF fiber element. The fiber element is a type of element that represents the cross-sectional shape using a collection of fibers, each defined by material properties Ei, νi, yi, area Ai, and coordinates (yi, zi). Additionally, since it is possible to define material properties and nonlinear conditions for each fiber, it is effective for the analysis of RC structures and similar applications. [Contents] ■1. Fiber Element Model ■2. Nonlinear Model *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We would like to introduce a case study on the use of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', suitable for civil structures. As an ancillary facility of a dam, gates play a significant role in ensuring the safety of the downstream area. Therefore, gates must be designed to withstand major earthquakes without being destroyed, and finite element analysis is an effective method for verifying this. Our company undertakes a series of tasks related to gate analysis, including model creation, analysis, post-processing such as plasticity checks and buckling checks. [Gate Analysis] ■ Eigenvalue Analysis ■ Static and Dynamic Analysis ■ Plasticity and Buckling Checks *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Application examples / Gate post analysis * Model creation (M-Φ fiber model)

Static and dynamic analysis of important related structures of dams, such as gate pillars and weirs! Structural analysis software 'ISCEF' suitable for civil engineering structures.

We will introduce a case study on the use of the structural analysis software 'ISCEF', which is suitable for civil structures. The gate post is the part that serves as the pillar for the gate and the superstructure. If the gate post itself is damaged, it will become impossible to open and close the gate, leading to an inability to adjust the water level, which in the worst case could result in the collapse of the dam. Therefore, improvements in seismic resistance are required for this important related structure of the dam. Our company undertakes tasks such as creating models of the gate post (M-Φ model, fiber model), capacity-based horizontal resistance method, and dynamic analysis. [Gate Post Analysis] ■ Eigenvalue Analysis ■ Static and Dynamic Analysis *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
