What is a packing?

It is a sealing device that prevents leakage of motion surfaces such as rotational motion and reciprocating motion.

A packing is a sealing device that prevents leakage from moving surfaces such as rotational motion and reciprocating motion. It is used in rotating parts like the shafts of pumps and motors, movable parts of valves, reciprocating parts like pistons, contact areas of couplers, and shut-off areas of faucets. Sealing devices are classified into contact-type seals, which are in contact with moving parts, and non-contact type seals, which are not. Contact-type seals include oil seals, mechanical seals, and gland packings, while non-contact type seals include labyrinth seals and magnetic fluid seals. ● The deburring machine 'FDM-002' is an all-in-one deburring machine that achieves quality, cycle reduction, and cost reduction. ● A 6-axis compact robot allows for flexible tool access even in narrow spaces. ● Equipped with an air float-type deburring attachment that flexibly responds to variations in workpiece shape. ● Standardly equipped with a uniquely developed quick-change motor spindle that allows for one-touch tool replacement. ● The operation panel is rotatable and can be moved to the side during automatic operation, only coming to the front when needed for operation. ● The front door opens from both sides, ensuring an opening size of W537×H741 for workpiece loading. ● Standard features include a tool break detection switch, light curtain, internal LED lighting, a momentary switch, and a three-color signal tower. ● With external dimensions of W800×D1481×H1620, it has a compact design that fits within a tatami mat. ● The jig table can achieve further cycle reduction by adding control for the robot's additional axes (optional). ● If equipped with an ATC magazine, it can automatically exchange two types of cutting tools (optional). ● An oil pot for automatic application of cutting oil and a cutting edge cleaning brush unit for removing tool adhesion are also available (optional).

FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during polishing and grinding processes, which require skilled techniques, at high speed. This technology allows for consistent polishing/grinding at the set contact force, unaffected by variations in processing speed or gravitational load differences due to angles. With the end effector (ACF) utilizing ACT technology, it instantly adjusts to changes in dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-flat surfaces by rapidly and automatically correcting the stroke's extension and contraction, maintaining contact with the workpiece at the set force. This technology can increase the speed of the device or robot's trajectory, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle time. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the ACF controls the contact pressure through the stroke's extension and contraction, eliminating the need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, which further assists in improving processing speed. Furthermore, it automatically corrects tool load variations due to gravity changes based on the robot's angle, ensuring a consistent contact pressure from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
