Concerns about the deterioration of the natural environment and considerations for economic conditions have led to a demand for high-quality techniques in the execution of future public works, including environmental conservation and cost-effectiveness. In order to protect our country's "beautiful mountains and rivers," various bank protection methods and materials have been developed to preserve and create rich and vibrant natural landscapes and ecosystems. To this end, Tōō Giken Co., Ltd. has been working on the development and dissemination of numerous products and methods for bank protection. Recently, we have developed the "Jun Rock," a natural stone composite TG-type environmentally friendly block that harmonizes with the natural environment while maintaining safe flood control functions. The "Jun Rock" features approximately 12% void area per block, providing space for plants and small organisms to thrive, thus contributing to the preservation and creation of ecological environments. Additionally, the surface of the block is covered with natural granite finished with a protruding texture, offering a calm and rich appearance and landscape that only genuine materials can provide, unlike artificial stone blocks.
