The Shell Chair is one of the works submitted to the "Low-Cost Furniture Design Competition," co-hosted by a non-profit furniture organization as part of MoMA's efforts to differentiate itself from other museums by collecting modern design products in 1948. It impressively secured second place. At that time, Charles Eames was striving to realize a new era of design that could be mass-produced using molded plywood, but the production with molded plywood proved to be extremely challenging. Eames did not give up on commercialization and successfully brought the chair to market using FRP, a new material at the time. The chair, produced by layering fiberglass wool with adhesives using a mold and then shaping the final outline, was introduced to the world as an innovative mass-produced item. The E-comfort Shell Chair is available in six colors for the seat: black, white, gray, red, pale blue, and pale green, with options for wood legs or a rod base. Solvent-free transparent anti-slip resin 'ESG SOFT' *Case studies and construction videos available

A two-component mixed type that cures quickly, allowing light walking in as little as 2 hours! No need to remove the applied coating during reapplication! A transparent anti-slip agent with low gloss that blends well with the substrate.

"ESG SOFT" is a solvent-free transparent anti-slip resin that achieves a transparent and natural finish while preserving the texture of the substrate. (Applicable substrates: stone, tiles, metal, P tiles, long sheets, etc.) After surface preparation, simply spread the mixed material with a medium-pile roller without using a primer. Any slight unevenness is not noticeable. Reapplication can be done after cleaning without removing the applied coating, allowing for rework only in areas of movement.
