Nitto Bosei Medical's functional polymers

Nitto Bosei Medical's Water-Soluble Polymers

Nitto Boseki Medical's polyallylamine (PAA) and polyamine series (PAS) are cationic functional polymers obtained by polymerizing allyl amines. They are functional polymers used in a wide range of applications as listed below, and we can also propose compatible products beyond our usage records, so please feel free to consult us. - Raw materials for paper ink fixatives, water resistance agents, sizing agents, and paper strength enhancers. - Additives for metal plating (zinc plating, copper plating): leveling agents, gloss agents, acid pickling inhibitors, metal chelating agents (rare metal collection). - Polymer crosslinking agents, curing agents. - Pharmaceutical raw materials. - Pigment dispersants. - Electronic materials cleaning agents. - Antistatic agents. - Antibacterial and algicide agents. - Formaldehyde catchers.

Synthetic inorganic polymer "Smecton"

It has cation exchange capacity and can intercalate various ions between the layers.

"Smecton" is a synthetic inorganic polymer with a saponite structure developed by Kunimine Industries Co., Ltd. using proprietary technology. Traditionally, minerals referred to as smectites are known as "clays with a thousand uses" and are utilized in a wide range of industries and in our everyday lives. However, since smectites are derived from natural clay, it is difficult to completely remove impurities from the soil, which limits their applications. Therefore, to enable a broader range of uses, research was conducted on the synthesis of smecton based on pure chemical raw materials. [Features] - When dispersed in water, it achieves higher viscosity compared to natural clay minerals and other synthetic clay minerals, with significant thixotropic properties. - The average particle size of the product powder is about 20 μm, but when dispersed in water, it swells and disperses to as fine as approximately 0.02 μm (Kunipia 0.1–0.5 μm). - It has cation exchange capacity (CEC) and can intercalate various ions between its layers.
