GRIP TIGHT (Pressure Test Plug for Piping and Pipes)

★Grip Tight★ Maximum pressure resistance value 96MPa! Directly conduct pressure tests by sealing pipes, tubes, and nozzles of equipment without the need for welding!

When using cap welding for the closure method during pressure testing of pipes, tubes, and conduits, we recommend using this Grip Tight plug for closure. It can achieve closure up to high pressure simply by assembling the plug to the end of the tube/pipe. (Max pressure rating: 96MPa) ● This will significantly reduce labor (cost) efforts. There is no need for the series of tasks involved in cap welding, cutting, or beveling; after assembling the plug and conducting the test, you only need to remove the plug. Additionally, the attached materials include plugs that can be used for localized pressure testing during the replacement of existing flanges, so please feel free to ask any questions. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Pop-A-Plug (Closure plug for heat exchanger tubes)

This is a mechanical plug for closing off heat exchange tubes. It is a revolutionary maintenance method that eliminates the need for welding closures in high-pressure equipment.

In the maintenance of heat exchanger tubes, I believe that the current methods involve driving in taper pins to seal leaking tubes or using seal welding for high-pressure equipment. The Pop-A-Plug from Curtis Wright in the United States uses a specially machined mechanical structure plug that is sealed with a dedicated tool. It maintains pressure resistance up to about 40 MPa, and seal welding after plugging is not required (the maximum pressure resistance varies by size). Welding work requires time for the work itself, pre-treatments such as heat treatment, applications related to the use of fire, and inspections during the welding process. However, Pop-A-Plug can reduce this workload and does not use heat, so there is no damage to the equipment. It is a sealing method that can significantly shorten the recovery period of the equipment. *According to ASME PCC-2-2022, the guidelines for the maintenance of pressure equipment, Pop-A-Plug is recommended as a tube plug for heat exchangers. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Plug for pressure testing of pipe flanges [for high pressure/neck flanges]

This is a plug that allows for isolation and pressure testing after welding to be conducted locally during the replacement work of the weld neck flange. [Maximum pressure rating: 15.5 MPa]

During flange replacement work at plant piping maintenance sites, localized welding points can withstand pressure tests up to 15.5 MPa. - Localized response with a plug eliminates the need for ancillary work. - Significant reduction in labor (cost) is achieved. - Can be reused multiple times. - Localized testing allows for a reduction in the amount of medium used. This is a plug compatible with weld neck flanges. There are also high-lift flange welding test plugs compatible with slip-on flanges and others. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

High-pressure test plug for pipe flanges

This is a plug that allows for localized pressure testing after welding in flange construction. [Maximum pressure value: 15.5 MPa]

In plant maintenance piping work, pressure tests of weld points, purging during welding, and upstream monitoring can be conducted. - Local implementation with a plug is possible, eliminating the need for ancillary work. - Significant reduction in labor (cost) is achieved. - It can be used repeatedly multiple times. - Local testing allows for a reduction in the amount of medium used. Pressure tests can be conducted on various shapes of flanges, such as neck flanges and slip-on flanges. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Three types available for different purposes! A plug that reduces labor for piping pressure tests.

Achieve reliable closure even in high-pressure environments! Significantly reduce man-hours and costs during pressure testing.

By utilizing the pressure test plugs from Curtis Wright in the United States, the man-hours required for pressure testing can be significantly reduced. Three types of plugs are introduced for different applications. ● For closing pipe ends: Grip Tight ● For flange local use: DBB plug ● For flange local use: High lift flange plug 【Features】 ■ Grip Tight Simply attaching the plug allows for closure at high pressure (up to 96MPa) No need for a series of tasks such as cap welding/cutting/preparation Can be reused multiple times ■ DBB Plug Allows simultaneous isolation of the upstream side and pressure testing of the weld point Pressure testing can be performed locally at the weld processing point only → Achieves reduction in media volume and simplification of construction ■ High Lift Flange Plug Allows purging during welding and upstream monitoring Compatible with various flange shapes (neck flanges, slip-on, etc.) Pressure testing can be performed locally at the weld processing point only → Achieves reduction in media volume and simplification of construction *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
