Our company contributes to solving the problems faced by our customers, such as improving the lifespan of mold parts. We received an inquiry from a customer stating, "We are punching the work material with a carbide punch, but the wear at the tip is severe. We want to extend the lifespan of the punch to increase productivity." In response, we analyzed the worn punch. It was determined that iron was adhering to the tip of the punch, promoting wear, so we proposed a carbide material that is less prone to iron adhesion. After implementing the countermeasures, despite the new material having a higher number of strokes, the amount of adhered material on the processed item decreased, resulting in less wear.
