Attention all station area development personnel! ● Recently, there have been many major disasters occurring that exceed expectations, leading to delays in evacuation and resulting in loss of life, which happens almost every year. "Never-vanishing Town" was born from the lessons learned during the prolonged power outages that occurred during the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. The long-term power outages caused by the earthquake and its aftermath created anxiety in daily life, increased fear, and led to chaos. At that time, there were existing solar lights that were not functioning, which further spread anxiety and left lingering dissatisfaction. It has become clear that a lack of reliable lighting during disasters can hinder evacuation efforts.
