Newly developed hydraulic hose that achieves long life when using water-based fluids.
Recently, the use of hydraulic fluids in factories has been shifting from mineral-based oils to fire-resistant water-glycol hydraulic fluids (water-glycol). However, the use of water-glycol has accelerated the corrosion of the inner rubber of hoses compared to when mineral oil was used, leading to corrosion of the metal wires in the outer reinforcement layer and causing a decrease in strength. In response, Bridgestone developed an inner rubber that suppresses corrosion. This led to the birth of the RX/RT series, which significantly reduces strength degradation due to corrosion and achieves a longer lifespan.
■ Features
Achieves longer lifespan: Impulse pressure cycles improved from 400,000 times in Bridgestone's conventional products to 1,000,000 times, a 150% increase.
Compact design: 40% more flexible, 20% lighter, and 3% slimmer than conventional products, enabling easier piping.
Safety considerations for fires and other hazards: The hose outer skin uses fire-resistant rubber compliant with U.S. MSHA standards.
Increased abrasion and water resistance of the hose outer skin: The RT series employs a highly abrasion-resistant outer covering (high molecular weight PE film).
→ Ideal for piping that is prone to wear and tear.
→ Suitable for piping exposed to water, oil, and various environments.
