New functional polyester that changes shape freely without losing its form.

New applications are expected depending on the usage method! A core-sheath structured polyester filament developed using conjugate technology.

KB Seiren manufactures and sells synthetic fibers, engages in the knitting and processing of textile materials, and produces and sells secondary textile products. The new functional polyester "Belcouple" combines regular polyester in the core and low-melting-point polyester in the sheath, allowing two types of polymers with different melting points to change into various forms through thermal processing. Textile materials made from this yarn exhibit high heat sealability (prevention of misalignment), shape stability, and hardness adjustability. 【Features】 ■ Fibers melt with heat (thermal fusion) By applying thermal processing (190°C), the low-melting-point polyester in the sheath melts, transforming the multifilament into monofilament (single yarn), resulting in high resilience. Fabrics treated with Belcouple and heat processing can prevent fraying and misalignment. ■ Hardness can be freely adjusted (hardness adjustability) By varying the processing temperature or combining with other materials, fabrics with different hardness can be produced. This eliminates the need for resin processing steps as in conventional methods, making it superior in cost performance and environmental hygiene. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.
