Automotive-related environmental technology: Multi-point ignition engine
-Exceeding the common sense of gasoline engines in thermal efficiency-
**Overview of Multispark** ● Evolution from Traditional Technology To shorten the time required from ignition to the completion of the combustion cycle, the traditional method of combustion in gasoline engines accelerates gas flow through compression and swirling. Most engine types have only one spark plug that generates a spark and ignites the flame, which limits the spread of combustion throughout the combustion chamber and the combustion rate. However, to use multiple ignition sources, the optimal layout of the intake and exhaust valves in the combustion chamber must be compromised. ● Simple Configuration with Minimal Additional Requirements The Multispark system appears to be just a slightly thicker cylinder head gasket. Therefore, it does not require significant changes or special equipment for implementation. This configuration allows for the existing head gasket to be replaced with the Multispark unit, providing advantages or rapid combustion. The number and position of ignition points can be easily modified to fit many engine designs and adapted accordingly.
