[Case Study] Washi Wedding Dress
We made original-sized washi paper by hand, finishing each sheet into a crumpled paper!
We received a message from a customer living in Tokyo. They expressed a desire to have a wedding ceremony in a wedding dress made of washi paper. With the ceremony just six months away, we were on a tight schedule, but we hand-crafted our original-sized washi paper in our workshop, finishing each piece into crumpled paper by hand. The materials used are kozo (mulberry) and konjac glue. This provides a certain degree of water resistance and strength against pulling, resulting in a durability that rivals fabric. The sewing was done by Angelique, and the venue is the Tokyo Station Hotel. The finished wedding dress is as light as a feather and beautifully adorned the customer's new beginning. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
