Ceiling "Membrane Ceiling"

Short-term construction - a membrane ceiling that moderately transmits light.

"Membrane ceilings" are designed to minimize significant damage even if the membrane falls during an earthquake, providing a safe and secure ceiling. There are various construction methods, and the OneWay method and the hanging method do not have any underlying structure on the membrane, which means there are no falling objects in the ceiling space. Since we handle everything in-house, there are significant advantages in terms of quality, time, and cost. 【Features】 ■ Safe and secure ■ Resistant to falling ■ Lightweight ■ Quick and bright ■ Aesthetic design *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

Lightweight ceiling "Super Lightweight Ceiling SLC Method"

Ceiling surface components achieve a weight of 2.0 kg/m² or less! A ceiling method that is resistant to damage even in major earthquakes.

The "Super Lightweight Ceiling SLC Method" is a ceiling construction method that achieves a weight of 2.0 kg/m² or less for ceiling surface components. The ceiling panels use lightweight and soft glass wool decorative boards that excel in sound absorption and thermal insulation. The main T-bars are notched at the top and the cross T-bars at the bottom, intersecting to form a grid of 1000mm x 1500mm, and by fixing them with SP clips, the number of components is significantly reduced, making it possible to achieve a weight of 2.0 kg/m² or less. Since the main and cross T-bars are constructed in their full length, they are less likely to warp during an earthquake. Additionally, by fully bonding the ceiling panels around the perimeter, they are resistant to breaking even in unexpected large earthquakes, and in the unlikely event of a break, the likelihood of them falling apart and dropping is very low. 【Features】 ■ Achieves a ceiling surface component weight of 2.0 kg/m² or less ■ Less likely to warp during earthquakes ■ Resistant to breaking even in unexpected large earthquakes ■ Very low likelihood of falling apart and dropping if broken ■ Strength against impacts, such as from balls, has been verified through collision tests *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Super lightweight, new seismic-resistant ceiling "SLC method"

From a ceiling that minimizes damage upon falling to a ceiling that does not fall. With outstanding seismic resistance, proven results across the country.

The "SLC method" is a system ceiling that uses lightweight, soft, sound-absorbing, and excellent thermal insulation glass wool decorative panels, significantly reducing the number of components to achieve an ultra-lightweight of less than 2.0 kg/m². Since the ceiling panels are fixed with adhesive all around, they are less likely to break or fall off during vibrations. In seismic experiments conducted on a shaking table at Kyoto University’s Disaster Prevention Research Institute, even after applying seismic waves measured at a magnitude of 6 or higher from major earthquakes across various regions (Note 1) continuously for 102 times, there was no damage or detachment! This contributes to reducing the risk of human casualties during disasters, securing evacuation locations, and maintaining the functionality of disaster prevention bases, including hospitals. 【Features】 ■ Ultra-lightweight of less than 2.0 kg/m² ■ Less likely to deform or fall during earthquakes ■ Strength against balls and other impacts in gymnasiums has also been verified ■ The "SLC-FH method," which enhances design aesthetics without exposing frame components, is also available in the lineup ★ For more details, please refer to the construction case collection and catalog available for download in PDF format.

Super Lightweight Ceiling "SLC-FH Method"

It is possible to achieve a high design quality with an invisible frame while maintaining the SLC method's performance of 2kg/m2 or less and seismic resistance!

For buildings where the design of the ceiling frame is a concern, such as theaters and halls, we recommend the "SLC-FH method," which makes the frame invisible. By fitting guide panels into a newly shaped main bar, we have established a structure where the frame is not visible after assembly. In seismic tests, there was no damage to the substrate, no distortion of components, and no detachment, ensuring that it possesses seismic resistance similar to the SLC method. 【Features】 ■ Achieves a ceiling component weight of 2.0 kg/m² or less ■ Less prone to distortion during earthquakes ■ Resistant to breakage even in unexpected large earthquakes ■ In the unlikely event of breakage, the likelihood of pieces falling apart is very low ■ Strength against impacts, such as from balls, has been verified through collision tests ■ The frame is not visible, allowing for high design quality in construction *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

<Japanese Design Example> Ceiling Lighting Harmonizing with Traditional Japanese Architecture

Would you like to create a warm and high-quality space with a light membrane ceiling?

The light membrane ceiling, which excels in design, is widely adopted in interior spaces with a Japanese taste. Compared to traditional acrylic panels, the light membrane ceiling can emit light from a large single surface. Its simple shape, with minimal joints and gaps, pairs well with wood, harmonizing with calm Japanese architecture and creating a Japanese modern interior space. Additionally, the flame-retardant material of the light membrane can be printed with your desired image, allowing for various proposals tailored to the space, such as incorporating washi patterns or kumiko designs. ◆ A photo collection summarizing construction examples is now available! Feel free to view it from the link below [PDF Download] ◆ <What is a light membrane ceiling?> It is a new ceiling system that uses a strong, lightweight, and soft membrane material. By installing lighting inside a translucent sheet, it creates a high-quality and soft light. Membrane ceiling

Reduce the possibility of ceiling collapse and improve indoor environment! Suitable for large spaces, gathering and evacuation facilities, etc.

At Daika Industry, we propose the design ceiling "Membrane Ceiling," which reduces the risk of ceiling collapse due to earthquakes and humidity, softly enveloping people's living spaces. By adopting this ceiling, various effects can be achieved, such as reducing seismic loads, sound absorption and diffusion, and improving indoor environments. Membrane ceilings are utilized in large spaces, commercial facilities, and evacuation centers. **Effects of adopting membrane ceilings:** - Reduction of seismic loads (lightweight ceilings and deformation following) - Catching falling objects (condensation and falling debris) ⇒ aging countermeasures - Acoustic effects (absorption and diffusion) - Reduction of lighting costs (utilization of natural light through translucent membranes and indirect reflection membranes) - Improvement of indoor environments (air conditioning, insulation, humidity control) - Possibilities for innovative designs (shapes, colors, lighting effects, etc.) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
